Hi there, I would like to know whether Shall is not compatible with Langify app any more.
Currently, I am using Shella Ver 3.7.6 and Langify Ver 2. And now, I am trying to update to Shealla Ver 4.8. However, I notice that the language switcher doesn't work properly when I choose "Store Languages (Default)."
Please see "In Primary language page". In this case, the "EN" option of the language switcher points to the English page (URL/en) from Japanese, primary language, page correctly.
However, when you see "In Second language page", you will find the "JA" option pointing to English.
I think "locale.root_url" returns the URL where users are.
I don't know which side issue this is, but Shella Ver3 was compatible with Langify, on the other hand, Ver4 doesn't have such a option.
My question is whether Shella Ver4 is compatible with Langify or not at this time.
And if not, which case can I use the option "Store languages (default) " in?
Translation apps
Shella theme already includes the code needed for these apps. The list of apps will be increased. If you work with one of the apps from the list, you need to set up languages in which the website should be translated by the app. To do that please go to your Shopify Admin, click on Settings -> Store languages -> Translated languages.
This is the explanation from the documentation about Shella, but I can't know which app is included in "these apps."
The Langify app is a 3rd party app, unfortunately, my developer can't influence the app source code. The previous version of Langify has a language switcher that was technically possible to incorporate into the theme.
Now, it is technically impossible to incorporate the Langify's language switcher into the theme, due changes at the app. The app offers the language switcher and we recommend using it. You may ask Langify support for more details on how to install and configure the Langify app.
