1. Copy MegaMenu configuration (after update to 1.6)

When you update the Unicorn theme to version 1.6.1 you should manually copy MegaMenu settings.

Here are the steps:

1) Open an online theme source code editor

2) Open the settings_data.json file and search for "mega-menu"

The theme includes 12 sections for MegaMenu popups. At your store, you may use 2 or 8. Proceed with only the needed sections.

In this example, I will process sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8.


3) Move mega menu nodes to the mega-menu-group.json file into the sections


4) Fill the order with the same ids as in the sections node


5) Change the type to megamenu for all mega-menu-* nodes


6) Save the mega-menu-group.json file

7) Go to the online theme editor and update the item name per each Mega Menu popup.

To request a theme demo create a new ticket with a short description of your requirements. 

It may be a "Help me to configure the theme like on your Broad demo", or "like on this example store - yourfavoritestore.com"

3. Add custom font

The Shopify requires to use a built in font library. You may want to add your custom font, be sure you license font files correctly.

(to zoom images, use the context menu and the "Open image in new tab" option. Context menu = mouse right button click on image)

1) Upload font files at Content -> Files. Copy file links.


2) Open online theme editor. Online store -> Themes -> ... (three dots) -> Edit code


3) Note the font related variable names. Remove the code related to font theme settings.

Files: layout/theme.liquid, layout/password.liquid, templates/gift_card.liquid


4) Update font preload tags


5) Add font-face CSS style


6) Update the font related variables at snippets/head-css.liquid file


7) Verify the font at the storefront

You should have a basic source code edit skills. If this manual doesn't help you, please hire a developer to complete this task for your store.

Available hours

Our support team is available Monday - Friday, 9am - 6pm EET. Please allow us up to 48 hours for a support response, in some instance it may be minutes or a few hours depending on the volume of tickets that we are working on, all, however, are handled in the order that they were received.

Theme licensing

Themes are licensed to 1 store only per purchase and may not be used in additional stores. Support is free but does not extend to modifying the original source code. For modifications please consider hiring a Shopify Expert.

 

Support eligibility

Free theme support is provided to all Shopify merchants who have purchased a theme via Shopify theme store or directly from ourselves. Those customers may also update their theme to a newer version at any time in the future.

Theme support and theme updates are not available to merchants who have purchased themes from any other source.

We reserve the right to refuse or deny support service at our discretion. Abusive comments aimed at members of our support team will result in an instant and irreversible denial of all further services.

Updates are optional, changes in design will often be a factor where new code is used to improve performance, functionality and stability of themes and the options that they carry. Our team can not assist in making your new theme version look like your old theme version in the event of changes in design.
